Hart man pleads ‘no contest’ to 4th-degree CSC
By Allison Scarbrough, Editor
HART — A 32-year-old Hart man pleaded “no contest” to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court Monday, Jan. 30, according to Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.
Julian Lugo Reyna, of 3908 Oceana Dr., was initially charged with third-degree CSC and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder following his arrest by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police. Reyna was lodged in jail on a $50,000 cash bond, according to court records.
“Reyna had two victims,” said Bizon. “One was an adult female he allegedly coerced into sexual activity. The other victim is a girl he met online — of the age of consent — and he allegedly assaulted her and placed his hand over her neck. Both victims agreed with the outcome of his ‘no contest’ pleas to their respective charges.”
In Michigan, fourth-degree CSC is a high-court misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
