Man sentenced to prison for CSC

HART — A 55-year-old man was sentenced to four to 20 years in prison for a conviction of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court Monday, Jan. 23.

David Lee Moore, Jr., pleaded “no contest” to the charge, Oct. 5. Moore’s sentencing guidelines are 42-70 months, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. He received credit for 322 days served in jail.

Moore will be subject to lifetime mandatory electronic monitoring, said Judge Susan K. Sniegowski.

The incident occurred in Rothbury in 2013 involving a female victim who was 15-16 years old at the time, said Bizon. “They were living in the same household, but are not related.”

His last known address is 1002 E. Colby St., Whitehall, according to court records.
