Lots of fun in store for Spitler Family Fun Night

Pirate News is a presentation of Hart Public Schools in partnership with Oceana County Press.

HART — Enjoy fun games and tasty food while raising money for Spitler Elementary School this Friday, Jan. 20, during Family Fun Night.

The festivities run from 6-7:30 p.m. There will be ring toss, a cake walk, a duck pond, skee-ball and more. There will be approximately 20 different games to play. Tickets are four for $1. Enjoy hot dogs, chips, pizza, popcorn, snow cones and bottled water for $1 each.

“Family Fun Night came about last year when our Spitler PTO was thinking about different fundraisers to help the principal’s fund,” said Spitler Elementary School Principal Andrea Degen. “Since box tops are digital, and we couldn’t do a poinsettia fundraiser this year, we decided to host the carnival again. One of the parents suggested that we do a carnival like they used to back in the old Elbridge days. We hosted it last year, and it was a huge success.

“We are looking for volunteers for helping set up; helping run a game; or helping take down. Cakes and 2 liters of pop are also greatly appreciated.”
