79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted Jan. 18, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

  • Brett David Waddell, of 9610 Algoma Ave., NE, Rockford, was found guilty Jan. 10 of operating while intoxicated and  was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE) and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed.
  • Brent Ray Hilliard, of 2423 S. 40th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 12 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • William Earl Smith, of 194 Lathrop St., Walkerville, was found guilty Jan. 10 of malicious destruction of property and was sentenced to $285 in fines, costs and restitution. 
  • Allen Michael McClellan, of 227 W. Wilke Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of driving on an expired license was dismissed.

Dismissals

  • Dezell Mack Jones, 31, of 2455 N. Aurelius Rd., Holt, one count of DWLS dismissed Jan. 10.
  • Bradley Steven Lemke, 61, of 305 S. East St., Fenton, one count of DWLS dismissed Jan. 10.
