Lighthouse Keepers Association hires new director
LUDINGTON — Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association (SPLKA) has recently hired Jack Greve as its executive director.
Greve most recently worked in southwest Michigan as executive director and curator of the North Berrien Historical Museum in Coloma. He was also a board member of the Paw Paw Lake Sailing Foundation.
“Growing up aboard my parents’ sailboat, I gained a special appreciation for sailing Lake Michigan and seeing the landmarks of west Michigan,” Greve said. Having the opportunity to give back and serve the lighthouses that I so fondly remember as a child is a wonderful feeling.”
“Jack’s experience working with historical non-profits and nautical passion fits well with our mission and focus,” said Alan Cocconi, SPLKA board pesident. “We believe he’ll be a true asset to the western Michigan community and we’re excited that he sees SPLKA as a long-term home.”
The Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association, based in Ludington, operates Big Sable Point Lighthouse, Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse, Little Sable Point Lighthouse and White River Light Station
