Domestic violence arrests top police activity

The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Friday, Jan. 6, 2023:

  • 9:45 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office) a 32-year-old Mears woman was arrested for domestic violence, 5800 block of West Fifth Street, Golden Township.
  • 10 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 55-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for domestic violence, 144th Avenue and Filmore Road, Elbridge Township. 

Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023:

  • 9:25 a.m., (OCSO), a catalytic converter valued at $1,000 was stolen, 2800 block of South 166th Avenue, Newfield Township.
  • 4:46 p.m., (OCSO), hit-and-run crash, 5100 block of East Loop Road, Greenwood Township. A dark colored vehicle hit another vehicle and drove away.
  • 6:07 p.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, 2000 block of South 160th Avenue, Newfield Township. A radiator hose was cut on a pickup truck.

Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023:

  • 9:05 p.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, 7900 block of South 192nd Avenue, Greenwood Township.
  • 10:46 p.m., (OCSO), a 23-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence, Michigan Avenue, Village of Shelby.
