Obituary: Maximina Gaytan, 72, of Pentwater

Maximina Gaytan, 72, of Pentwater, formerly of Monterrey, Mexico, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022. Maximina was born August 17, 1950, the daughter of Cutberto Sifuentes Camacho and Maximina Ramirez Sustaita. She married the love of her life, Bernardino Gaytan, on June 28, 1967. They spent 55 wonderful years together until her passing.

Maximina loved to spend her time outdoors gardening. Time spent indoors included lots of cooking and baking, which she enjoyed very much. Maximina devoted her life to God. She was the Minister at her own church, Templo Fuente De Vida. She loved the Lord and her congregation with all her heart.

Maximina is survived by her husband, Bernardino Gaytan; children, Enereida (Francisco) Posada, Dianira Gaytan, Isabel (Carlos) Guerra, Ana (Zeferino) Villanueva, Gerardo (Adalinda) Gaytan, Jorge (Cristina) Gaytan, and Blanca (Nicolas) Arguello; and many loving grandchildren.

Maximina was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Neida Genesis Posada; brother, Edmundo Sifuentes; mother, Maximina Ramirez Sustaita; and father, Cutberto Sifuentes Camacho.

Memorial contributions in Maximina’s honor can be made to her husband, Bernardino Gaytan. A funeral will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, starting at 5 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington.
