Inmate allegedly damages bunk by repeatedly jumping on it

The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022:

  • 8:07 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), malicious destruction of property. A male inmate allegedly damaged a cell after jumping up and down on a bunk until it gave way. The case is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Friday, Dec. 23, 2022:

  • 1:50 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 30-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for domestic assault, assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and malicious destruction to police property, 6400 block of Garfield Road, Greenwood Township. Officers had to activate a taser on the suspect.

Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022:

  • 4:36 p.m., (OCSO), a 67-year-old Pentwater man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after driving into the ditch, West Hammett Road, Weare Township.
