HMS students donate 150 toys to Toys for Tots program

HART — Hart Middle School students donated 150 toys to the Toys for Tots program, making Christmas brighter for less fortunate local children.

“HMS Student Leadership orchestrated a Toys for Tots drive over the course of the last few weeks,” said Principal Kevin Ackley. “Classes competed to bring in the most toys.”

Gayla Carskadon’s class won the competition with a total of 38 toys. Erin Jensen’s class was a close second place with 32, and Aaron Schlukebir’s class finished in third place with 22.

“We raised a total of 150 toys for children and families in need this holiday season,” said Principal Ackley.
