Hesperia woman charged with felonious assault for stabbing girlfriend.

FERRY TOWNSHIP — A 20-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested for felonious assault Thursday, Dec. 8, just before midnight after allegedly stabbing a 22-year-old Wyandotte, Michigan woman in the arm, according to Sgt. Dan Thomas of the Hart post of the Michigan State Police.

The incident occurred in the 1900 block of South 124th Avenue, said Sgt. Thomas.

The victim refused medical treatment, he said, and appeared to suffer from minor injuries. She was stabbed by “some sort of instrument,” but it is unclear what weapon was used. Several items were seized by MSP troopers, he said, including a knife and a pair of scissors.

The victim was stabbed once by the suspect. The two women were in a dating relationship, he said.

“A verbal argument led to the assault,” said Sgt. Thomas.
