$400 stolen in tavern break-in.

WEARE TOWNSHIP — At least $400 in cash was stolen during a break-in at Murphy’s Tavern on North 80th Avenue, said Lt. Shane Hasty of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The break-in was reported to police Monday morning, Dec. 5. 

“A suspect has been developed, and the investigation is continuing,” said Lt. Hasty. “Forced entry” was used to gain access to the building.

No other information is available as the case remains under investigation.
