The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Monday, Nov. 21, 2022:

  • 6:50 a.m., domestic assault, 3000 block of South 124th Avenue, Ferry Township. The victim refused contact with law enforcement.
  • 9:25 p.m., personal protection order violation, 3000 block of West Tahoe Trail, Grant Township. There was not enough evidence to substantiate an arrest.
  • 10:26 p.m., assisted Hart Police Department, criminal sexual conduct and indecent exposure, 2000 block of Comfort Drive, City of Hart.

Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022:

  • 2:25 p.m., fraud, 4000 block of West Tyler Road, Hart Township. “The Hart Post Office suspected a patron of sending a lot of cash through the mail to an address in Connecticut,” said Lt. Shane Hasty. “After talking with the victim, it was confirmed that she was sending money to someone she did not know and believed that she would be helping them. The post office was able to stop the delivery and return the package/cash.”

Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022:

  • 6:32 a.m., fraud, 4000 block of 3rd St., Village of New Era. 

Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022:

  • 2:28 a.m., domestic assault, 100 block of White Street, Village of Shelby.

Friday, Nov. 25, 2022:

  • 1:14 p.m., a 35-year-old Grant Township man was arrested on a PPO violation, 3000 block of West Tahoe Trail, Grant Township. The suspect allegedly removed mail from a mailbox at a residence where he is prohibited from being.

Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022:

  • 9:21 p.m., a reported stolen motorcycle was recovered, 300 block of East Main Street, Village of Walkerville
