79th District Court sentencings, Nov. 22, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

  • Stephen John Kroegel, of 3954 SW Armadillo Trail, Arcadia, Florida, was found guilty Nov. 21 of forest fire — failure to take precautions and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
  • Karl Edward Brock, Jr., of 613 Griswold St., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 21 of furnishing tobacco to minors and was sentenced to $325 fines and costs.
  • Thomasa Lynn Stafford, of 6895 N. 192nd Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Nov. 21 of furnishing tobacco to minors and was sentenced to $325 fines and costs.
  • Brian Christopher Ford, of 14055 ½ N. Arthur Ave., Paramount, California, was found guilty Nov. 16 of failure to stop and identify after an accident and was sentenced to $570 in fine and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
  • Dominique Niccolas Hampton, of 2684 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 3 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
  • Alberto Fontaine Zertuche, of 3752 W. Van Buren Rd., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 15 of operating without a license and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs.
  • Alicia Mae Torrie, of 2463 Whitetail Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Nov. 15 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Charges of operating without insurance and allowing a suspended person to operate were dismissed.
  • Deena Nicole Simon, of 951 Radcliff St., Garden City, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 15 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. One count of second-degree retail fraud was dismissed.
  • Jacob Michael Horn, of 2820 Lemuel St., Muskegon Heights, was found guilty Nov. 15 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. One count of improper plate was dismissed.
  • Marty Elwood Essex, of Whitehall (street address unavailable), was found guilty Nov. 15 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $420 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
