Obituary: Debra Nichols, 61, of Muskegon, formerly of Hart

Debra Sue Nichols, 61, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, November 9, 2022, in Muskegon following a lengthy illness. She was born January 20, 1961, in Muskegon, to Glenn and Kay (Bitson) Phillips, and moved to Hart before returning to the Muskegon area. 

When she was able, she attended Hope Reformed Church. Debra married Frank G. Nichols, and he survives her along with one daughter,Angie Nichols; three grandchildren: Alainna, Kaleb, and Sean; one brother: Gary (Mary Lou) Phillips; one sister: Daughn Phillips; her mother-in-law: Evelyn Nichols; many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jason, and her father-in-law Frank A. Nichols. 

A service to celebrate and remember Debra’s life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
