‘Shake your mailbox’ to make sure it’s secure for winter snowplowing.
HART — The Oceana County Road Commission reminds residents to shake their mailboxes to ensure they are secure for the upcoming snow plowing season.
“It’s that time of year again, when we ask everyone to shake their mailboxes to see if they need to reinforce/replace them before winter snowplowing begins,” said Oceana County Road Commission Clerk Sandy Griffin.
The road commission and the US Postal Service remind residents every fall to “shake your mailbox,” so they can make repairs now to ensure mailboxes are strong enough to survive the upcoming winter.
