Meth cases top 51st Circuit Court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court by Judge Susan K. Sniegowski:

Castillo

Rolando Castillo, of 5800 7th St., Mears, pleaded “no contest” Aug. 29, 2022 to methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Oct. 17, 2022 to 61 days in jail with credit for 61 days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs. 

Linsey Jo Dean, of 5570 Dowling St., Montague, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 to 130 days in jail with credit for 125 days served; 18 months probation; and $398 in fines and costs. Probation stems from a Jan. 10, 2022 conviction of methamphetamine possession.

Cameron Michael Scheck, of 3383 Owen Ave., Newaygo, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced Monday, Oct. 17, 2022  to 15 days in jail with credit for 15 days served; 18 months probation; and $458 in fines and costs. Probation stems from a July 12, 2021 conviction of methamphetamine possession. 

Eric William Tatro, of 7251 Progress Dr., Twin Lake, was found guilty Aug. 29, 2022 of fourth-degree fleeing a police officer and was sentenced Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 18 months probation; and $598 in fines and costs. Misdemeanor charges of driving while license suspended and operating without insurance were dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State.

Scheck

Gregory Merle Felt, Jr., of 6614 104th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty Oct. 17, 2022 of a misdemeanor of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit for 16 days served; $800 restitution; and $425 in fines and costs. One felony count of unlawfully driving away an automobile/car theft was dismissed.
