Halloween Events 2022
The following Halloween events scheduled for Mason and Oceana counties have been reported to Mason County Press and Oceana County Press. If your organization is holding an event, please email editor@mediagroup31.com. Begin the subject line with “Halloween Event.”
Thursday, Oct. 27
- Trunk or Treat, Mason County Department of Health and Human Services, 915 Diana St., Ludington, 5:30 to 7 p.m. All ages are welcome.
Friday, Oct. 28
- Harvey’s Haunted Garage and Maze, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer, 7 to 10 p.m.
- Ice Skating Spooktacular, sponsored by West Shore Youth Hockey Association, West Shore Community Ice Arena, 3000 N. Stiles Road, Victory Township (Scottville), 6 to 8 p.m. Admission and skate rental, $10 per person (funds raised support West Shore Wolves youth hockey team). Dress in costumes.
- Camp Sauble: Cages of Carnage, sponsored by Free Soil/Meade Fire Department and Grant Township Fire Department, 4058 E. Free Soil Rd., Free Soil Township, 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 29
- Trick-or-Treating in Scottville, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Trunk or Treat, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Amber Township (Scottville), 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Sidewalk Spooktacular in New Era from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Trick or Treating in New Era from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Trick or Treating in downtown Ludington, sponsored by downtown Ludington merchants. Ludington Avenue between Harrison Street and Rath Avenue will be closed to traffic during this time, featuring trunk or treating with games and candy, 2 to 4 p.m.
- Harvey’s Haunted Garage and Maze, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer, 7 to 10 p.m.
- Camp Sauble: Cages of Carnage, sponsored by Free Soil/Meade Fire Department and Grant Township Fire Department, 4058 E. Free Soil Rd., Free Soil Township, 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 30
- Tractors & Treats sponsored by Oceana County Farm Bureau, Oceana County Fairgrounds, 1025 S State St, Hart, 4 to 6 p.m.
- ‘Trunk-n-Treat, at Hart United Methodist Church parking lot, 308 S State St., noon to 1:30 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 31
- Trick-or-Treating, City of Ludington, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Spitler Elementary School Halloween Parade in Hart, 1:15 p.m.
- Trunk or Treat, St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3212 W. Kinney Rd., Riverton Township (Ludington), 5 to 6:30 p.m.
- Free Soil Community Trunk or Treat, Free Soil Community Center parking lot, 8480 N. Democrat St., Free Soil. Sponsored by Free Soil Area Senior Center, Free Soil Village, Free Soil Township, and Free Soil/Meade Fire Department.
- Trunk or Treat, Hart First Baptist Church, 3258 N 72nd Ave, Hart, 5 to 6:30 p.m.
- Trunk-n-Treat hosted by COVE (Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters) in the Hart Commons parking lot, 3 to 5 p.m.
- Harvey’s Haunted Garage and Maze, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer, 7 to 10 p.m.
- Trick or Treating in the Village of Shelby, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Trick or Treating in the City of Hart, 6 to 8 p.m. and downtown Hart business Trick or Treating. Look for the displayed jack-o-lantern in downtown store windows for participation.

Trick or Treating in the Village of Pentwater, 5 to 7 p.m. Free homemade donuts provided by the Pentwater Fire Department at the fire station, 486 E. Park St., at 5 p.m.
- Trick or Treating in the Village of Hesperia, 6 to 8 p.m.
