79th District Court sentencings, Oct. 6, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

  • Jacob Nathan Veine, of 65 N. Clymer St., Pentwater, was found guilty Sept. 6 of second-offense operating while intoxicated in two separate cases and was sentenced Sept. 27 to five days in jail with credit for two days served; six months probation; Alcohol highway Safety Education (AHSE); continue with Soberlink for 90 more days; attend Victims’ Impact Panel; and $1,835 in fines and costs. Convictions reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
  • Kasey Ann Eckstein, of 702 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 30 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
  • Jeffery Wayne Kilcrease, of 3823 Nestrom Rd., Whitehall, was found guilty Sept. 30 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $425 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Donal Gene McCormick, of 1845 E. Isabella, Muskegon, was found guilty Sept. 27 of brandishing a firearm in public and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs and must forfeit firearm to MSP.
  • Christihan Manuel-Marq Quinones, of 2240 W. Baseline Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Aug. 9 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Sept. 27 to outpatient treatment; Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT); and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Michael Earl Yager, Jr., of 2552 S. 140th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 27 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; three months probation; AHSE; must attend Victims’ Impact Panel; and $1,180 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
