Pirates to celebrate Homecoming.

HART — Hart High School has planned a star-studded week ahead for 2022 Homecoming with a Hollywood theme. 

The freshmen float theme is New Age (1990s to present); the sophomores theme is Blockbuster Era (1970s-1989); the juniors theme is Golden Era (1920s to 1960); and seniors is the Silent Era (1890s to 1920s). 

Special events throughout the week kick off with a Powder Puff football game Sunday, Oct. 9, starting at 6 p.m. at the football field. Dress up days include: Monday, Oct. 10, with Adam Sandler Day — wear baggy clothes; Tuesday, Oct. 11, Stunt Double Day/Twin Day; Wednesday, Oct. 12, Movie Night Sleepover Day — wear pajamas; Thursday, Oct. 13, Color Wars Day — classes wear a certain color in the movie title associated with each grade; and Friday, Oct 14, is Pirate Pride day — students will wear red, black and white pirate apparel colors.

A parade through downtown Hart will start at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct 14, that will include class floats, homecoming court, the Hart Senior Band and sport teams. 

The king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the varsity football game against Hesperia Friday, Oct. 14. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. A homecoming dance for students is set for Saturday evening, Oct. 15, in the high school gym from 8-11 p.m. 

Members of the 2022 Hart Homecoming Court include: freshmen Zachary Pierce and Lola Davila; sophomores Carson Jensen and Kadie Koehl; juniors Tyler VanderZanden and Lynessa Fielder; seniors Aspen Boutell, Julia Greiner, Savanna Owens, Mariana VanAgtmael, Wyatt Dean, Revin Gale, Bryce Jorissen and Guillermo Ortega. Honorary court members who are exchange students include Lara Santos Soares, Pia Huebert and Rocio Catalan Diaz.
