The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Friday, Sept. 16, 2022:

  • 9:33 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), unwanted person, 6400 block of East Garfield Road, Newfield Township.
  • 12:05 p.m., (OCSO), personal protection order violation, North Oceana Drive, Hart Township.

Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022:

  • 11:55 a.m., (OCSO), assault, 4000 block of South 132nd Avenue, Ferry Township.
  • 8:48 p.m., (OCSO), a 30-year-old Shelby man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear, 200 block of East Main Street, Village of Walkerville. Felony charges of possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine are pending lab results.

Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022:

  • 5:13 a.m., (OCSO), a 26-year-old Fremont man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and operating without a license, South Maple Island Road near Wilke Road, Greenwood Township.
  • 11:45 a.m., (Michigan State Police), A 56-year-old Shelby man was cited for operating without a license, West South Avenue, Village of Hesperia.

Monday, Sept. 19, 2022:

  • 10:13 a.m., (OCSO), breaking and entering, Driftwood Drive, Oceana Shores, Grant Township. Cash totaling $50 and a micro SD card were stolen.
