Meeting to address alternating asparagus festival venue between Hart and Shelby.

HART — The National Asparagus Festival Board of Directors has scheduled a public meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Oceana County Services Building at 844 S. Griswold St.

“The NAF Board of Directors would like input from the community about returning the festival location to alternating years between Shelby and Hart,” states a public notice. “A decision is not going to be finalized until October but we would appreciate all input.”

The festival location alternated between the two towns for many years, but in recent years has remained in Hart.
