79th District Court sentencings, Aug. 25, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

• Miles David-Isaiah Roberts, of 184 N. Gordon Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Aug. 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for 20 days served and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of third-offense operating while intoxicated and driving while license suspended (DWLS) were dismissed.

• Jehud Edreih-Deleon Ramirez, of 1968 E. Fountain Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Aug. 16 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to $1,155 in fines and costs. A charge of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

• Logan Michael Nelson, of 2635 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Aug. 16 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs.

• Daniel Jenaro Quijas, of 6782 W. Deer Rd., Mears, was found guilty Aug. 16 of malicious destruction of personal property less than $200 and was sentenced to $460 in fines and costs. Charges of malicious destruction of personal property $200-$1,000 and failure to report an accident were dismissed.

• Amanda Raye Tovar, of 2105 E. Union St., Shelby, was found guilty Aug. 16 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.  Conviction reportable to SOS.

• Jody Louise Straubel, of 8023 W. Seapine Dr., Mears, was found guilty Aug. 16 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to $810.12 in fines, costs and restitution. A charge of violating a restricted license was dismissed.

Dismissal

• Arkie Eugene Welch, Jr., of 2669 Webster Rd., Montague, a charge of second-offense DWLS was dismissed Aug. 9.
