Carnival begins Wednesday at fairgrounds.
151st Annual Oceana County Fair runs next week.
HART — The second-longest running fair in Michigan kicks off next week, but as an added bonus, the midway with carnival rides and games and food vendors opens this week.
Elliott’s Amusements will have the midway set up with fun rides and games this week before the fair — Wednesday through Saturday Aug. 17-20 — and then during the fair — Aug. 23-27. Food vendors will also offer their tasty carnival cuisine of cotton candy, elephant ears, corndogs and more.
The Oceana County Fair is Michigan’s second-longest running fair, celebrating local agriculture for 151 straight years. The state’s longest-running fair is the Lenawee County Fair in Adrian, which has been ongoing for 183 years.
