51st Circuit Court sentencings, Aug. 12, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:
Henry Verschueren, 32, of 2149 152nd Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty of probation violation Aug. 1, 2022 and sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for 15 days served and probation previously ordered March 5, 2018 is continued. Probation stems from a Jan. 9, 2018 conviction of accosting children for immoral purposes.
Elessie Gabriel Walker, 39, of 3232 MacArthur Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty July 18, 2022 of probation violation and was sentenced Aug. 5, 2022 to 15
days in jail with credit for two days served and probation previously ordered Jan. 25, 2021 is continued. Probation stems from a Nov. 16, 2020 conviction of larceny in a building.
Gabriella Jovita Pena, 26, of 355 S. State St., Newaygo, was found guilty May 23, 2022 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Aug. 1, 2022 to 13 days in jail with credit for 13 days served; $490 in fines and costs; and 18 months probation.
Steven Geno Rice III, 25, of 5708 S. Cherokee Bend, New Era, pleaded “no contest” May 9, 2022 to possession of firearms by a felon and was convicted by the court of fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced July 18, 2022 to six months in jail
with credit for 100 days served; $490 in fines and costs; and two years probation. In a separate case, Rice pleaded “no contest” May 16, 2022 to larceny in a building and was found guilty by the court of fourth-offense habitual offender. He was sentenced to a consecutive term July 18, 2022 of six months in jail with credit for 94 days served; $490 in fines and costs; and two years probation. The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office seized the .45 caliber pistol. Charges of larceny $1,000 or more; possession of ammunition by a felon; and
felony firearm were dismissed.
Amanda Rae McMann, 39, of 2494 Whitetail Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Oct. 25, 2021 of possession of a taser and was sentenced July 18, 2022 to 77 days in jail with credit for 77 days served and $490 in fines and costs. The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office seized the taser. McMann was also found guilty of criminal contempt for failure to appear and was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail.
Karolyn Kay Buozis, 62, of 520 E. Main St., Hart, pleaded “no contest” May 9, 2022 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced July 18, 2022 to eight days in jail with credit for eight days served; $490 in fines and costs; and one year probation.
Spencer Thomas Oomen, 29, of 5571 N. 126th Ave., Hart, pleaded “no contest” May 23, 2022 to aggravated indecent exposure and was sentenced July 18, 2022 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $490 in fines and costs; and five years probation. Charges of child sexually
abusive material and accosting children for immoral purposes were dismissed. (More recent mugshot unavailable.)
Ryan Michael Welch, 20, of 8591 Robinhood Dr., Rothbury, pleaded “no contest” May 9, 2022 to discharging a firearm causing injury and was sentenced July
18, 2022 to 58 days in jail with credit for 58 days served; $490 in fines and costs; and 18 months probation. One count of lying to a police officer was dismissed.
DeWayne Leon Totten, 22, of 1532 Madison, Muskegon, was found guilty April 18, 2022 of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine and was sentenced July 18, 2022 to one year in jail with credit for 128 days served; $520 in fines and costs; and two years probation. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Two counts of possession of a narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams were dismissed.
