51st Circuit Court sentencings, July 13, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently by Judge Susan K. Sniegowski in 51st Circuit Court:
(The 27th Circuit and 78th District courts now include Newaygo and Lake counties, and the 51st Circuit and 79th District courts now include Mason and Oceana counties due to a recent court realignment.)
Richard Davis, 34, of 403 E. Lincoln St., Hart, was found guilty July 11, 2022 of probation violation and was sentenced to 19 months to four years in prison with credit for 391 days served and $1,573 in fines, costs and restitution. Probation stems from April 5, 2021 convictions of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, malicious destruction of property over $200 and third-offense habitual offender.
Brandon Alan Cook, 39, of of 2980 Solon, Cedar Springs, Michigan, was found guilty May 16, 2022 of third-degree fleeing a police officer and was sentenced July 11, 2022 to 18 months to five years in prison with credit for four days served and $198 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
Corde Austin Turner, 33, of 1077 Jefferson, Muskegon, was found guilty July 11, 2022 of probation violation and was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 198 days served and previous fines, costs and restitution totaling $963.09. Probation, which is now revoked, stems from a Jan. 29, 2018 conviction of malicious destruction of fire/police property.
Cadenn Douglas Lorenz, 30, of 3417 72nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty July 11, 2022 of probation and violation and was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 256 days served and previous fines, costs and restitution totaling $656.99. Probation, which is now revoked, stems from a Sept. 27, 2021 two-count conviction of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police.
Brett Anthony Peoples, 31, of 336 144th Ave., Hart, was found guilty July 11, 2022 of probation violation and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; two years probation; continue substance abuse programming; increase supervision level; and defer to local court to sanction for his pending misdemeanor. Probation stems from a Nov. 30, 20202 conviction of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and third-
offense habitual offender.
Michael William Dale Steffes, 33, of 2218 186th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 16, 2022 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing
police and was sentenced July 11, 2022 to 91 days in jail with credit for 91 days served; two years probation; and $430 in fines and costs.
Kyler James-Joseph Welch, 19, of 64 S. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty May 16, 2022 of unlawful driving away of an automobile/car theft and was sentenced July 11, 2022 to nine days in jail with credit for nine days served; 18 months probation; and $741.46 in fines, costs and restitution. Welch also pleaded “no contest” May 16, 2022 in a separate file to car theft and was sentenced July 11, 2022 to nine days in jail with credit for nine days served; 18 months probation; and $940 in fines, costs and restitution. Convictions are reportable to SOS.
