Man arrested for operating under the influence of drugs after crashing into tree.
PENTWATER — A 30-year-old Shelby man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs following a single-vehicle crash on Hancock Street near Sand Street Wednesday, June 15, around 6:30 a.m.
The 2004 Chevrolet Impala the man was operating crashed into a tree.
“We are continuing the investigation as far as substances found at the scene,” said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast. Additional charges are pending.
The man, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at Trinity Health Shelby Hospital.
The suspect was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
