Motorcyclist injured after colliding with deer.
BENONA TOWNSHIP — A 29-year-old Muskegon man was transported by Life EMS to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital (formerly Mercy Health Partners) Sunday, May 30, shortly after 1 p.m. after his motorcycle hit a deer on Buchanan Road near 24th Avenue, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
A deer “jumped out onto the road in front of his motorcycle,” states the report. “He fell off his motorcycle and sustained numerous injuries.”
The man was riding a 2002 Harley Davidson Fatboy. He was wearing a helmet, states the report. Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
