HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
- Marty Elwood Essex, of Whitehall (street address not listed), was found guilty April 25 of operating a snowmobile while intoxicated and was sentenced May 23 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; may not operate a snowmobile for six months; and $615 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while impaired was dismissed.
- John Hasbany, of 7577 S. Riverbend Dr., Branch, was found guilty May 18 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS.
- Jason Alan Ennis, of 5430 E. Arthur Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 4, 2021 of DWLS and was sentenced May 23, 2022 to three days in jail with credit for three days served. Ennis is lodged in the Muskegon County Jail and fines and costs are waived, his court file states.
- Kenneth L. Sutton, of 890 Aztec Dr., Norton Shores, was found guilty May 23 of reckless driving and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Ashley Ann Smith, of 2685 W. Van Buren Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 23 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; no contact with the two victims for six months; and $450 in fines and costs.
- Gavin James MacKenzie, of 19923 W. Stanton Rd., Pierson, Michigan, was found guilty May 18 of using an illegal fishing device and was sentenced to $475 in fines and costs. One count of fishing without a license was dismissed. One count of breaking and entering — illegal entry was dismissed.
- Jeremy R. Downing, of 3763 County Road 313, Bluffton, Ohio, was found guilty May 18 of taking/possessing a bass/walleye out of season and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
- Alexander Christian Arendsen, of 10355 Hannah Dr., Zeeland, was found guilty May 18 of operating through a stream/wetland and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. One count of operating an ORV in a closed area was dismissed.
- Anthony Tracy Harris, of 1915 Garfield Rd., New Era, was found guilty May 18 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.
- Joshua Joseph Norma, of 2838 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty May 23 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 40 days served. A second count of DWLS and one count of operating without insurance were dismissed. Conviction reportable SOS.
- Melissa Ann Weise, of 5325 E. Tyler Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty May 19 of purchasing a pistol without a license and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs and must forfeit the pistol.
- Richard James Gifford, of 11444 N. Bingham Ave., Bitely, was found guilty May 19 of DWLS and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $325 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS.
- Samantha Joy Metheny, of 70 Behler Rd., Ravenna, was found guilty May 19 of open intoxicants — passenger and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS.
- Ronald Sylvester-Cletus Monroe, of 4055 White River Dr., Hesperia, was found guilty May 19 of improper license and was sentenced to $360 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS.
- Denny Joe Clark, Jr., of 1488 W. McMillan Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty May 19 of unlawful license plate and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
- Jehud Edreih Ramirez, of 1968 E. Fountain Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty May 19 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
- Kameron Paige Wilson, of 29 N. Apple St., Hart, was found guilty May 19 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $425 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
- Michael William-Dale Steffes, of 8570 10 Mile Rd., Bitely, was found guilty May 19 of open intoxicants — passenger and was sentenced to a $75 fine. Steffes is currently serving three months in jail on a felony case, according to court records.
- Petra Field, of 6735 Virnetta Dr., Ludington, was found guilty May 19 of DWLS and was sentenced to $520 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS. A charge of operating an unregistered vehicle was dismissed.
- Cesar Hernandez-Hernandez, of 2415 W. Meadow Lane, Rothbury, was found guilty May 19 of improper license and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
