Rifle, tools stolen during break-in.

LEAVITT TOWNSHIP — A .22-caliber Magnum Stevens rifle valued at $400 was among several items stolen during a breaking and entering of a pole barn in the 4500 block of North Maple Island Road east of Walkerville, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The intruder or intruders also stole a 6500-volt generator valued at $400; two digital trail cameras; a gun boot valued at $100; a wrench set; an ax; fishing poles; and a tool box. A Polaris quad parked in the pole barn was damaged and gas was siphoned from it. 

The case is under investigation. If anyone has information about the crime, they are asked to call the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office 231-873-2121.
