The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Tuesday, May 17, 2022:

6:45 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), domestic assault, 8000 block of West Seapine Drive, Golden Township.

10:50 a.m., (OCSO), a 29-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, South 116th Avenue, Otto Township.

2:11 p.m., (OCSO), a 26-year-old Brohman man was arrested on a warrants and a 30-year-old Muskegon man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), Winston Road, Village of Rothbury.

2:30 p.m., (OCSO), fraudulent checks totaling $444, David Allen Racing, South Maple Island Road, Greenwood Township.

3:25 p.m., (OCSO), a 34-year-old Branch man was arrested on a Friend of the Court warrant at the Oceana County Courthouse, State Street, City of Hart.

5 p.m., (OCSO), felonious assault, 1100 block of West Taylor Road, Hart Township. A 48-year-old Hart man told police that a 70-year-old Hart man pointed a gun in his direction and fired it in the air hitting tree limbs, 1100 block of West Taylor Road, Hart Township. The case will be forwarded to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.

Wednesday, May 18, 2022:

1:54 p.m., (OCSO), gas drive-off, EZ Mart, Division Street, Village of Hesperia. The case was resolved.

Thursday, May 19, 2022:

11:49 a.m., (OCSO), a 31-year-old Muskegon man was arrested on warrants, East Skeels Road, Greenwood Township.

2:40 p.m., (OCSO), a 30-year-old Bitely man was arrested on a warrant at the Newaygo County Jail and transported to the Oceana County Jail where he was lodged.

4:27 p.m., (OCSO), fraudulent phone call, 5900 block of South 168th Avenue, Greenwood Township.

Friday, May 20, 2022:

5:12 a.m., (OCSO), a 21-year-old Rothbury woman was transported to Trinity Health Shelby (formerly Mercy Health Partners Lakeshore Campus) for minor injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash into a power pole, West Winston Road near Water Road, Village of Rothbury. The woman, who told police she had fallen asleep while driving, was cited for careless driving.

9:48 a.m., (OCSO), a 41-year-old Fountain man was arrested on a warrant and transported from the Mason County Jail to the Oceana County Jail where he was lodged.

10:12 p.m., (OCSO), a 52-year-old Hart man was arrested on a Lake County warrant for fraud, East Madison Road, Crystal Township.

8:37 p.m., (OCSO), a 21-year-old New Era man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, M 20, Ferry Township.

Saturday, May 21, 2022:

12:27 a.m., (OCSO), a 30-year-old Muskegon man was cited for DWLS, East Skeels Road, Otto Township.

12:21 p.m., (OCSO), larceny of a Craftsman snowblower valued at $400, 8800 block of East Loop Road, Newfield Township.

4:11 p.m., (OCSO), a 27-year-old Michigan Center man was cited for operating without insurance, West Taylor Road, Golden Township.

5:30 p.m., (OCSO), gas drive-off, $60 in diesel fuel stolen, Wishing Well, Business US 31, Pentwater Township.

11:04 p.m., (OCSO), a 23-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on a warrant and on charges of operating without a license and operating without insurance, South 132nd Avenue, Ferry Township.

11:15 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 49-year-old White Cloud man was arrested for disorderly conduct and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, Silver Lake State Park, Golden Township.
