SHELBY — Shelby elementary students enjoyed some long-awaited sunny spring weather Wednesday, May 4, to participate in National Bike to School Day.

“Ride to School was so much fun today!” states a post on the Shelby Elementary School Facebook page. “Thank you to everyone who participated. PTO provided donuts and juice; Aspire helped planning and supervising; staff either joined us or held the fort down back at school; families dropped off and picked up kids with bikes; and Chief Tom Waltz provided the police escort. It was a super special day!”
