Six guns stolen during break-in.
ELBRIDGE TOWNSHIP — Six guns were stolen during a break-in of a residence located in the 4200 block of North 136th Avenue that was reported Sunday, April 24, around noon.
A front window was broken out of a “cottage-type” residence, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
Guns reported stolen include: .308 Winchester valued at $300; 30-06 Remington valued at $300; .308 Remington with scope valued at $325; 30-30 Winchester with a lever-action scope and a 30th anniversary medallion in the stock valued at $300; 3200 rifle with a black painted stock valued at $200; and .22-caliber unknown brand semi-automatic valued at $100.
In an unrelated case, a Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun was reported stolen from the 4000 block of Riverview Drive in Newfield Township Sunday around 8 p.m., said Mast.
Both cases are under investigation by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.
