HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

  • Austin Candida, of 6832 N. 192nd Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty April 11 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; and $1,230 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Erik Lee Moore, of 8503 Robinhood Dr., Montague, was found guilty April 11 of reckless use of firearms and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. He must forfeit his firearm to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Nehemiah James Smith, of 158 E. McKinley Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty April 13 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
  • Colette R. Anspach, of 6501 Springboro Rd., Lebanon, Ohio, was found guilty April 11 of open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $250 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Sara Elizabeth Near, of 2028 Van Allen Dr., Muskegon, pleaded “no contest” April 11 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs.
  • Jose Roberto-Antonio Torres, of 350 W. Main St., Hart, was found guilty of allowing a dangerous dog to run at large and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs.
  • Tiffany Marie Andree, of 9577 N. 192 Ave., Branch, was found guilty April 11 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Joseph Robert-Andrew Duell, of 360 W. Main St., Walkerville, was found guilty April 11 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs.
  • Kevin William Magaluk, of 3134 Lemuel St., Muskegon, was found guilty April 11 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. Charges of failure to report an accident and DWLS were dismissed.
  • Mitchell Lewis Robbins, of 127 E. Laurel St., Walkerville, was found guilty March 14 of domestic violence and attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced April 11 to one year suspended jail with credit for 15 days served; six months probation; and $1,450 in fines and costs.
