Pirate News: Spitler kindergarten round-up April 13 and 14.

Pirate News is a presentation of Hart Public Schools in partnership with Oceana County Press.

HART — Kindergarten round-up at Spitler Elementary School is set for Wednesday, April 13, from 4-6 p.m. and Thursday, April 14, from 5-7 p.m. in the school gym.

Each child will get to choose a new book on the book bus, and there will be a photo backdrop available for families to use while capturing the milestone moment. “Every kid will get to go on the Spitler Book Bus and get a free book,” said Principal Andrea Degen.

New students will also receive a goody bag and will get to sign a certificate for the Class of 2035.

All children who will be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2022 may register for kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year.

Parents can pick up registration forms at the Spitler office or the central business office beginning Monday, April 4. The following are required to register: certified birth certificate, up-to-date immunization records, proof of residency (such as a utility bill or a rent receipt), a photo ID of parent/legal guardian and a proof of the child’s hearing/vision screening.

Registration forms are also at www.hartschools.net — click on “schools”; click on “Spitler”; click on “Kindergarten Enrollment.”
