HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

  • Brooke Angelic Courtland, 27, of 5810 W. 7th St., Mears, pleaded “no contest” March 21 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,055 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
  • Cody Michael Shafer, 25, of 7944 N. 126th Ave., Hart, was found guilty March 21 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,080 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Stacey Roy Swiatlowski, 50, of 105 S. Wildwood Crossing, Ludington, was found guilty March 21 of operating while impaired and open intoxicants and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,355 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Nicholas Troy Wheeler, 34, of 1215 Decamp Rd., Leslie, Michigan, was found guilty March 18 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Ricky Alan Pacola, 59, of 1001 N. 104th Ave., Hart, was found guilty March 21 of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail and $560 in fines, costs and restitution. A second count of larceny less than $200 was dismissed.
  • Juan Pablo Rodriguez-Pena, 31, of 224 Pine St., Shelby, was found guilty March 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Eric William Tatro, 27, of 4840 Springtime Lane, Muskegon, was found guilty March 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs.
  • Amy Lynn Trevino, 30, of 3895 S. Water Rd., New Era, was found guilty March 17 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of failure to display a valid driver’s license was dismissed.
  • Lawrence Matthew Routley, 55, of 19445 Lexington, Redford, Michigan, was found guilty March 17 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Robert Ray Hammond, Jr., 41, of 249 Forest Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty March 17 of violating a restricted driver’s license and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
  • David Allen Brow, 33, of 3747 North M 37, Baldwin, was found guilty March 17 of improper license and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served and $420 in fines and costs.
  • John Paul Redmond, 33, of 101 S. 72nd Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Nov. 4, 2020 of DWLS and was sentenced March 15, 2022 to 39 days suspended jail with credit for 39 days served and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Brittany Nicole Tanner, 29, of 523 S. State St., Hart, was found guilty March 14 of methamphetamine use and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 39 days served. One felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed.
  • Jordan Charles Halverson, 29, of 2275 N. 192nd Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty March 14 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Alex Robert Dodson, 22, of 2925 Hillcrest Dr., New Era, was found guilty Feb. 28 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
  • Robert Joseph Amstutz, 38, of 356 M. 144th Ave., Hart, was found guilty March 14 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE: and $1,155 in fines and costs.
  • Fabian Amauri Cintora-Garcia, 34, of 220 Charles St., Michigan City, Indiana, was found guilty March 14 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer was dismissed.
  • Kelly Marlin Bromley, 53, of 3737 S. Oceana Dr., New Era, was found guilty Feb. 7 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,105 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Justin Robert Bolles, 41, of 7969 E. Grant Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 28 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Marshall Alex-Anthony Masta, 21, of 8823 E. Harrison Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty March 14 of methamphetamine use and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed.
  • Daniel Cody Taylor, 29, of 1149 Fleming St., Muskegon, was found guilty March 14 of malicious use of a telephone and was sentenced to 180 days suspended jail with credit for 30 days served and $250 in fines and costs.
  • Joshua Jeffrey Bon, 32, of 9979 Blue Lake Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty Feb. 28 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,080 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
  • Alex Benavidez-Chairez, 31, of 2446 W. Whitetail Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty March 10 of dog running at large and was sentenced to a $75 fine.
  • Joseph Kendall Zuber, 30, of 3661 E. Baseline Rd., Shelby, was found guilty March 10 of DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Justin Lee Temple, 31, of 605 Lake Forest Ln., Norton Shores, was found guilty March 10 of improper license and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; and $375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • David Hewett Murmann, 79, of 2800 E. Pierce Rd., Shelby, was found guilty March 9 of unlawful license plate and was sentenced to a $75 fine.
  • Steven M. Thompson, 57, of 8077 N. Sweet Chevy Ln., Bitely, was found guilty March 9 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Marisa Martinez, 46, of 1908 N. 48th Ave., Mears, was found guilty March 9 of DWLS and was sentenced to $475 in fines and costs.
  • Justin Tyler Flanery, 28, of 423 N. William St., Ludington, was found guilty March 7 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $200 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Jahvauntay James Starks, 20, of 4533 S. 144th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty March 7 of operating without a license and was sentenced to two days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Hayley Marie Flanery, 25, of 95 N. State St., Hesperia, was found guilty March 1 of violating a restricted driver’s license and was sentenced to a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Drew Daniel Buozis, 25, of 308 E. Main St., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 31 of second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Feb. 28 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for three days served; six months probation; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous three times a week; and $990 in fines and costs. One count of possession of a firearm under the influence was dismissed.
  • Ralph Bernard Moore II, 41, of 2697 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Feb. 28 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $435 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
  • Christian Rodriguez, 27, of 7121 Apple Hill Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 28 of domestic violence and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; six months probation; and $975 in fines and costs. 
  • Ashley Kim Albin, 21, of 68 N. Comstock, Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 28 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. One felony count of carrying a concealed weapon was dismissed.
  • Joni Marie Decker, 46, of 774 Forest Park Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty March 21 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail with credit for one day served; six months probation; and $1,730 in fines and costs. She may be eligible for discharge from probation after 90 days. One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Dale Paul Bonstell, 38, of 1550 E. Monroe Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 23 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.
  • Darcie Ann Young, 49, of 1700 Robbins Rd., Grand Haven, was found guilty March 23 of DWLS and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $425 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Justin Reid Chavis, 34, of 6988 McKean Rd., Ypsilanti, was found guilty March 23 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to $470 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

  • Karolyn Kay Buozis, 61, of 520 E. Main St., Hart, one felony count assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed March 21.
