78th District Court sentencings, Feb. 23, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

  • Mark Alexander Martin, 40, of 58061 M 62, Cassopolis, Michigan, was found guilty Dec. 14, 2021 of operating while impaired and was sentenced Feb. 15 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,479 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). 
  • Jody Louis Straubel, 40, of 8023 W. Seapine Dr., Mears, was found guilty Feb. 22 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,155 in fines and costs. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Brandon Dean McCann, 30, of 196 Pine St., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 22 of truancy and was sentenced to a $75 fine.
  • Jeremy Lee Blohm, 34, of 5590 W. Wren Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 18 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced one day in jail with credit for one day served and $350 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Gordon Leon Davis, Jr., 49, of 6020 Hazekamp Ct., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 22 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Gerald Raymond Tenant, 39, of 2464 W. Scenic Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 22 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissal

  • Melinda Jean Youngblood, 33, of 7252 W. 20th St., Fremont, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed Feb. 16.
