News alert: House fire in Mears.

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — Firefighters from Hart, Shelby-Benona and Pentwater departments were dispatched to a house fire in the 5800 block of Fifth Street Friday, Feb. 18, around 6 p.m.

The 911 caller reported that there was a fire on the side of the house, and firefighters relayed that the fire had spread to the attic. Firefighters fought strong wind gusts while battling the blaze.

No other information was immediately available.
