Obituary; Francis Bailly, 89, of Hart.
Francis “Fran” Robert Bailly passed into the arms of his Savior on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the age of 89. He passed just in time to spend Valentine’s Day with his wife, Debby, who died in 2018 after 65 years of marriage.
Fran farmed apples, cherries, and asparagus in Oceana County for many years. He was also a realtor who enjoyed helping people find a house that could become their home. He loved to sail, loved his church, and was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Pentwater. He was also an Associate Member of the Englewood United Methodist Church in Englewood, Florida, where he and Debby wintered for many years. Fran was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
Fran is survived by: his four children, daughters, Shelly (Don) Spachman of Clare, Diane (Kim) Klotz of Hart, and Jodi Trumble of Surrey, North Dakota; son, David Bailly of the Bahamas; sister-in-law, Pat Gamble of Hart; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his best barking friend, Skipper.
Fran was preceded in death by: his wife, Debby; his parents, Ferdinand and Eva Bailly; son-in-law, Jim Trumble; and his sister, Jo Coleman.
A Celebration of Life will be held this spring when the weather is warmer and safer to gather outside.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church or the Oceana County Council on Aging.
