Ornamental chicken stolen.

SHELBY — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a larceny theft of a 6-foot-tall ornamental chicken made of metal.

The rooster, which is valued at $250, was stolen from a yard on Harvey Street some time between midnight and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (231) 873-2121.
