Obituary: Wayne Fessenden, 65, of Hesperia. 

Wayne Allen Fessenden, 65, of Hesperia, died on Monday, January 3, 2022. He was born June 27, 1956, in Hart, the son of Clifford and Sylvia (Eitniear) Fessenden.

Wayne was also known as the country music artist, Lefty Pines, in which he was inducted into the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame. Besides his love for singing and playing his guitar, he was also a scrapper in the local community.

Wayne married the love of his life, Annette (DeCheney) Fessenden, on August 26, 1983, and she survives him. He is also survived by his children, Wanita Montoya (Rogelio Garcia), Sheila (Steve) Carpenter, and Dawn Coles (Luis Lopez); 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dale Fessenden and Ruby (Gene) Ewers; brother-in-law, Bill Nuzzi; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Carol Nuzzi and Fern Huizenga; and brothers, Curtis Fessenden and Phillip Fessenden.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby.
