The following is recent Oceana County Sheriff’s Office activity:

Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021:

• 12:24 p.m., identity theft, West Deer Road, Golden Township. A Verizon account was set up in the victim’s name, and a phone was purchased. There are no suspects.
• 2:52 p.m., larceny of a battery tender, South Newaygo Trail, Grant Township. A 44-year-old New Era man is a suspect.
• 2:55 p.m., larceny, East Fox Road, Elbridge Township. A garbage can was reported missing. There are no suspects.
• 3:44 p.m., unwanted/harassing texts over child custody, North 128th Avenue, Crystal Township. The case is closed.
• 9:40 p.m., a 35-year-old Ferry Township woman was cited for operating without insurance, East Loop Road, Ferry Township.

Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021:

• 10:39 p.m., a 39-year-old Grant Township man was cited for driving while license suspended and operating without insurance, Bartlett Street, Village of Rothbury.

Friday, Dec. 31, 2021:

• 10:57 a.m., a 36-year-old Grant Township man is a suspect in an incident involving charges of operating while intoxicated, child endangerment, failure to report an accident and parole violation, East Yale Road, Otto Township. Charges are pending blood alcohol content confirmation.
• 12:39 p.m., a catalytic converter was removed from a vehicle parked at the M 20 Park and Ride, Shelby Township. There are no suspects.
• 12:50 p.m., uttering and publishing a check, North 56th Avenue, Golden Township. Two checks were cashed from a closed account. A 36-year-old Grant Township man is a suspect. The investigation continues regarding audio and video, said Lt. Shane Hasty.

Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022:

• 1:20 a.m., assault and battery, East Wilke Road, Grant Township. A 22-year-old Muskegon man is a suspect, and the investigation continues, said Lt. Hasty.
