HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
- Adam Joseph Scovill, 39, of 308 E. Main St., Hart, was found guilty of second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for two years served; six months probation; outpatient treatment; and $1,855 in fines and costs. Defendant is to turn himself in to the jail on Dec. 30, 2021 and be released on Jan. 7, 2022 by noon,” court records state. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One felony count of third-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Colin Ray Bush, 37, of 260 Sessions Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 27 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 10 days served and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Two counts of DWLS were dismissed in separate files.
- Michael William Reid, 64, of 4120 Orchard Dr., Hart, was found guilty Dec. 20 of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs. Charges of stalking and trespassing were dismissed.
- Kevin Joseph Brinkman, 23, of 4487 W. Hammett Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Dec. 13 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 16 days served; six months probation; and $925 in fines and costs.
- Randy Wayne Palazzola, 35, of 8867 Stebbins St., Montague, was found guilty Dec. 28 of telephone — calling and hanging up and was sentenced to 180 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; six months probation; no contact with the victim; and $1,000 in fines and costs.
- Joyce Leann Acuna, 59, of 7412 S. 200th St., Fremont, was found guilty Dec. 13 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $500 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
- Jessica Ann Williams, 33, of 405 S. 3rd Ave., Big Rapids, was found guilty Dec. 13 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail and $450 in fines and costs.
- Robert Anthony Curry-Carter, 68, of 136 N. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 13 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit three days served; six months probation; and $985 in fines and costs.
- Timothy Wayne Meitner, 40, of 191 N. Bogue, Walkerville, was found guilty Dec. 13 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 19 days served and $575 in fines and costs. Two felony counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police were dismissed.
- Derek Keith Newton, 50, of 5677 S. Poplar Ave., Newaygo, was found guilty Dec. 15 of open intoxicants — passenger and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Abel Felipe Vilchis-Gasca, 57, of 619 S. State St., Hart, was found guilty Dec. 15 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Bonifilio Perez-Hernandez, 33, of 71 Ferry St., Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 15 driving while license expired and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Luke Jacob Satterelli, 36, of 7161 S. Stony Lake Rd., Jackson, was found guilty Dec. 16 of ORV — operating on a highway or right-of-way and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs.
- Nolan Jay Newberry, 19, of 158 Park St., Pentwater, was found guilty Dec. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $425 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
- Brennan Lee Bernham, 43, of 1323 5th Ave., Mankota, Minnesota, was found guilty Dec. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
- Benny Brian Ortega, 36, of 15 Sessions Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
- Nicholas Emery Ozios, 41, of 182 W. 6th St., Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
- Matthew Glenn Howard, 48, of 5315 W. Woodrow Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
- Nicholas Ray Campbell, 32, of 3858 Fargo Rd., Kenockee, Michigan, was found guilty Dec. 16 of operating an ORV on a public road and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
- Melyssa-Ann Elvira Rodgers, 27, of 9013 Wilke Rd., Fremont, was found guilty Dec. 16 of DWLS and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Adam Scott Schilz-Kissling, 30, of 9426 Oak Lane Dr., Montague, was found guilty Dec. 20 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs.
- Jessyca Nichole Carpenter, 32, of 2258 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Dec. 20 of methamphetamine use and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 21 days served. One felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Eric Nicholas Loose, 40, of 975 Meadowbrook Dr., Mount Pleasant, was found guilty Dec. 20 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail and $400 in fines and costs.
- Devon Alan Dodds, 24, of 3250 Alberta Ave., Norton Shores, was found guilty Dec. 27 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail and $450 in fines and costs.

- Amanda Marie Zoulek, 34, of 4740 Baseline Rd., Shelby, one felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed Dec. 27.
- Jonathon Richard Maxwell, 32, of 2210 Pamela Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana, one count of violation of a slow/no wake zone was dismissed Nov. 10.
- Joshua Thomas Chudy, 32, of 135 W. Market St., Indianapolis, Indiana, one count of violation of a slow/no wake zone was dismissed Nov. 10.
- Manuel Garza Martinez, 66, of 644 Abel Dr., Elsa, Texas, one count of fugitive from justice was dismissed Dec. 13.
