LEAVITT TOWNSHIP — A 40-year-old Walkerville man was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies for felonious domestic assault Thursday, Dec. 9, shortly after 7:30 p.m. following a bloody battle with a 20-year-old man who has addresses in both Whitehall and Walkerville, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The victim of the assault is in a dating relationship with the suspect’s daughter. He sought treatment at an area hospital, said Sheriff Mast.

Oceana County EMS was called to the scene, according to dispatch information.
