The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Friday, Nov. 19, 2021:

  • 5:32 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 33-year-old Leslie, Michigan woman was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), US 31 and North Oceana Drive, Weare Township.
  • 8:10 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, US 31 and Polk Road, Hart Township.
  • 10:54 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 33-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant from another county and is a suspect for a methamphetamine possession charge, East Loop Road, Ferry Township.

Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021:

  • 4:40 a.m., (OCSO), a 36-year-old Atlanta, Georgia man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from another county, South 148th Avenue, Ferry Township.
  • 12:58 p.m., (OCSO), reckless use of a firearm, East Woodrow Road, Newfield Township. An unsafe target for sighting in rifles was called in by a neighbor.
