Obituary: Jesse Shearer, 72, of Mears.
Jesse Edward Shearer, 72, of Mears went to heaven on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Jesse was born on February 3, 1949 to Anna and Daniel Shearer in Hudson. Jesse came from a large family, 11 siblings to be exact. Always standing out with his quick-witted attitude and his love of family, classic cars and music. And he loved to trade stuff with his brothers, from watches to cars, to those damn boots with the heels to make him taller!
He spent the last 14 years with the love of his life, Judy White, who tirelessly took care of him since he was diagnosed. They loved to spend time together going to car shows, playing cards and Yahtzee!
He served his country in Vietnam. Once home he became a stepfather to a 3-year-old. He was a real dad. He was patient, kind and firm and made her his own! He wasn’t able to be there at her birth, but one of his greatest moments in life was watching his first grandson come into the world!
Jesse is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter Tami; Judy’s daughters, Jennifer, Tina and Marijo; many siblings; grandchildren Marc, Jessyca, Kennedy, Madison, Montana; great-grandchildren David, Taryn, Audree, Destiny, Kaiden, Marc Jr. and Josiah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Anna Shearer; brothers Everett and Larry.
Arrangements were entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, www.OakGroveLudington.com.
