78th District Court sentencings, posted Nov. 10, 2021.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
- Jacob Thomas Springer, 21, of 1024 E. Riley Thompson Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Nov. 8 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; $1,420 in restitution; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
- Brian Jay Erickson, 49, of 2251 W. E. Hills Dr., New Era, was found guilty Nov. 8 of attempted custodial kidnapping and was sentenced to 180 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $425 in fines and costs.
- Hailee Elizabeth Tarket, 22, of 8602 Robinhood Dr., Montague, was found guilty May 17 of operating while impaired and was sentenced Nov. 9 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and outpatient treatment. Fines and costs are waived, her court file states, and the case is closed. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
- Robert Charles VanDerZanden, 69, of 4441 W. Hogan Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Nov. 8 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Jeffrey Eugene Spencer, 60, of 2730 Kensington Dr., Kalamazoo, was found guilty Nov. 8 of operating while intoxicated and firearms possession while under the influence and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. The Walther .22 caliber P22 handgun must be forfeited. One count of carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence was dismissed.
- Tyrone Dale Kline, 55, of 9287 Chase Rd., Montague, was found guilty Nov. 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,130 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Drake Allen Potter, 18, of 4940 S. 180th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 10 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.
- Matthew Thomas Elkins, 32, of 1074 Becker Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Nov. 10 of illegal fishing gear and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
- Chad Rydell Groff, 22, of 5046 Newport Rd., Kinkers, Pennsylvania, was found guilty Nov. 10 of operating an ORV on a right-of-way and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
