Weare Township approves marijuana dispensaries.
WEARE TOWNSHIP — Voters approved an ordinance that will allow recreational marijuana facilities in Weare Township with a 219-172 vote Tuesday, Nov. 2.
The ordinance will repeal a previously-enacted ordinance that prohibited recreational marijuana sales in the township.
Weare Township voters also approved a 2.0 mill renewal for road improvements and maintenance during Tuesday’s election with a 236-160 vote total. It is estimated that the mill renewal will provide $104,284 in the first calendar year.
