The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:
Friday, Oct. 29, 2021:
- 2:58 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 35-year-old New Era man was cited for open intoxicants and operating without insurance, South 52nd Avenue, Golden Township.
- 10 p.m., (OCSO), damage to property, South 32nd Avenue, Benona Township. A large black truck did donuts in a field and sped off, said Lt. Shane Hasty
Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021:
- 7:24 a.m., (OCSO), a 19-year-old Rothbury man was cited for trespassing at the former Barber Steel property, West Winston Road, Village of Rothbury.
- 12:56 p.m., (OCSO), larceny, West Hazel Road, Crystal Township. A 27-year-old Hart man is suspected of taking a deposit for handcrafted furniture and not fulfilling the order. He is expected to pay back the deposit, said Lt. Hasty.
- 10:55 p.m., (OCSO), a 62-year-old Pentwater woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, North Oceana Drive, Winston Road.
Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021:
- 3:04 a.m., (OCSO), a 29-year-old Mears woman is suspected of fraud by making unauthorized financial withdrawals, West 7th Street, Golden Township. The suspect and victim were previously in a dating relationship.
- 3:34 a.m., (OCSO), a 21-year-old Mears male was arrested for driving while license suspended, open intoxicants and obstructing justice, North 64th Avenue, Golden Township.
- 1:23 p.m., (OCSO), assault and battery, North Oceana Drive, Weare Township. A 21-year-old Shelby man is a suspect, and the case is being turned over to Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review. There was a heated exchange at the soccer fields, said Hasty.
- 11:25 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 45-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested on a fugitive warrant for failure to appear following a traffic stop, Oceana Drive and Skeels Road, Grant Township.
