2 women, infant injured in crash.

HART — A 53-year-old Hesperia woman, a 20-year-old Hesperia woman and an infant sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, Sept. 22, shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Oceana Drive and Polk Road, according to Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar.

A 53-year-old Hesperia woman driving a Jeep was westbound on Polk Road approaching the intersection and failed to stop at the stop sign, said Chief Salazar.

The Jeep was struck by a box truck — formerly a U-Haul — driven by a 36-year-old Ludington man who was southbound on Oceana Drive.

The woman’s Jeep rolled onto its side after the crash. She and her passengers were transported to Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon for evaluation, said Salazar.

“An investigation is ongoing,” he said.

The Hart Police Department was assisted by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team, Hart Area Fire Department and Life EMS.
