Drivers injured in Polk Road crash.

HART — Both drivers involved in a rear-end crash on Polk Road near 72nd Avenue Tuesday, Sept. 7, at noon were injured, according to Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar.

“A 57-year-old Shelby man was travelling westbound on Polk Road when he was rear-ended by a 35-year-old Mears man,” said Chief Salazar. “The Mears man was cited for failure to stop within an assured clear distance.”

The Hart Police Department was assisted by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police and Hart Area Fire Department.
